Are we becoming less human and more robotic?
Getting up early morning everyday I prepare myself to put up with the mundane hectic tasks. I start from my house not very sure if I would make it into my office commute or if I would have to take a public transport. After reaching office, all I have to do is work for a stretch of 9 hours with little human intervention. I interact more with the system than with the people around as everyone get engrossed in their sphere of work. This is the general scenario we would find in an IT workplace. But be it any field we have the words like tension and stress to describe it. So all that I would like to mention here is that we are becoming less human and more robotic. We cannot blame ourselves for this as we are bound to accept the changes due to the evolutions which happen in every stage. We have evolved from the Stone age to the Technical age with decaying shades of humanity. We exhibit the topology of robotism in different realms of life.
The impact of the global recession is felt even today. People had continued working even though there were no salary hikes, promotions just because they had an indispensable reason to be secure with a job. But the companies had fired many people for erratic reasons which could not be taken into consideration. So does this imply that the company will thrive on the hard work of its employees and would never turn back in difficult situations? We did not have the Government to play any part in this scenario.
A police officer had been slaughtered to death in the suburbs of Thirunelveli during his return from a court case. The case is still under execution and only God knows how long they would prolong with this case. We have the video footage of his pathetic struggle for survival during the last few minutes of his death. But no one had come forward to save his life despite the fact that many big shots in politics had commuted via the route. The Government now comes up with schemes like free education for the kids of the family and lot more. But whatever they give as remuneration, will that be of any math to the departed soul???
The public was shocked to see the usage of unparliamentary words by the so called big people in Indian politics. Its instinctive to blurt out with an intemperate language when things go out of the form we would like it to be. But they are people who represent the Indian politics and their characteristics should speak for the civilizational developments and upliftment of our nation. Often they do forget that they are losing the traits of a good human being in their pursuit of political establishment for the enrichment of their lives.
We have myriad messages and posters which say that drinking is injurious to health. But the majority of the youth fail to understand this and when they do realize, it becomes too late. This incident happened 5years back in the highways of ShreePerambathur which shook the city with waves of sympathy and hatred towards the reprehensible youth. Five guys who were just out of college were run down and killed in a car accident. It was found later that their faulty driving and brains submerged in alcohol was the reason for their horrifying death. Only two people were saved from this tragic incident but even today they live in a state of depression. The other people had not been killed immediately. They were in a state of impassioned plea before they lost their lives after an hour of struggle for survival. But the public did not have the basic humanitarian traits to save those people. Everyone were compounded by the after effects which the case would leave. But what is the purpose of putting up a show of life here when we are not able to empathize and sympathize with our fellow beings. We lack the basic affinity and love towards other people which was exuberant during the times of our ancestors.
We are moving towards an age of technical advancement and development in all fields forgoing our human traits and evolving with a robotic life!
