What Aam Admi Party means to a common Indian?
So far Indian politics is corrupted with selfish politicians who are keen to grab with whatever means. Being in power, their motive is to serve themselves and not the people who have elected them.
This trend has been going on for a long time now. The root cause to this is the ignorance of the people and lack of unity among them. Questions are being asked, who will rescue India from corrupt and dirty politicians.
The answer to this was provided by Aam Aadmi Party that has come forth to generate the hope of the dawn of a new political discourse in the country. Indians now are finally been able to see the trend emerging that may lead to the crumbling of the corrupt walls of Indian politics.
Arvind Kejriwal, IIT alumni who resigned his prestigious job of Indian Revenue Service is leading a people's movement to clean up the system.
This he did so by launching the Aam Aadmi Party in 2012 and within the span of a year has made tremendous impact on the minds of the people of this country.
Since its inception, AAP has been working for their welfare. The name of the party itself implies it is for the common man.
In a short span AAP has demonstrated it is completely different from other political parties. AAP do not believe in words but in action. It does not believe in rallies to seek votes, rather uses broom, party's symbol, to clean up the roads to seek the support of common man.
Arvind Kejriwal after becoming Delhi's Chief Minister lived to its poll promise of providing a supply of 700 litres of water. Also, he reduced the electricity bill by about 23%. This way the AAP made a huge impact on the people who have started believing that AAP is certainly going to change the political contours of the country.
AAP means a lot to the common man. Often they are unable to fight for their right due to lack of support from any political party. They seem to have no leader to hear their grievances. AAP has given them strength to deal with the system.
With the backing of the AAP they are feeling empowered to deal with harassment and torture faced by them. The common man is no more afraid of the corrupt politicians. It's now their turn to change the game of politics. AAP is showing them the way. This is new beginning in India.
